About Me

Back in my early 20s, I started thinking about a career in counselling when new friends began sharing deeply personal stories with me. I found myself listening, offering support and feeling a quiet sense of purpose in those moments. However, at that time I was halfway through a law degree and felt too far in to change direction.

So I stayed the course and spent the next 20+ years working closely with people — as a family lawyer, a mediator and a human resources manager. All those roles involved helping others through tough times and I learned a lot about supporting people in emotional distress.

That quiet pull towards counselling never really left me. Eventually, I listened to it. When I started studying counselling, it felt like something clicked and I remember thinking, this is what I was always meant to do.

After completing my counselling qualification I established a private counselling practice in July 2020.  I have worked with individuals using a blend of talk therapies: Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

Why Emotional Freedom Techniques?

I first heard about EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) in a podcast with Dawson Church, one of the leaders in the field. I hadn’t come across EFT before and I’ll admit, I was curious but also a bit sceptical.

I started reading more and was surprised by how much research had been done on EFT. Reading The Science Behind Tapping by Dr Peta Stapleton convinced me that the science was solid, so I decided to try it for myself.

Even though I understood the process in theory, nothing prepared me for how different I felt after just a couple of sessions. Something shifted inside me. Not only did my mind feel calmer and clearer, my whole body felt lighter and I was able to release physical tension in my neck and shoulders.

My experience with EFT taught me that talk therapy combined with a body-based therapy produced better results mentally and physically.

That experience sparked a passion to learn more and bring EFT into my own therapeutic work.

Why I do what I do

My mission is to help others experience the kind of gentle, lasting change I found through EFT. I know how easy it is to put yourself last, to carry on holding it all together and to feel like your struggles aren’t “bad enough” to seek help.

I’m here to offer a different way forward — one that’s grounded in both evidence and compassion.

Whether I’m working one-on-one, in a small group, or delivering a workshop, my aim is always the same: to help people feel lighter, less stressed and more like themselves again.
